Routine and Stability...What I've been fighting against for the past two years

Soon, I will no longer be a casual employee. I finally landed myself in a position. I'm relatively happy with the hours and I love the house that I will be working at.

I haven't applied for many permanent positions because most of them are harsh weekend hours that haven't fit with having any sort of social life. I will soon have mon and tues off and I will work weekends but its flexible like 9-5 or 11-7, depending on whats going on. Also I can include the guys in my own life, once in a while...if I have somewhere I want to go..like a family thing or even with friends. I am supporting people, so I think its important to have a good relationship and I want to include them with friends and family sometimes.

It feels like they are welcoming me into their family, so it should go both ways. and to keep professionalism in mind at times....but not to go too overboard with professionalism as well ...because they are people and I don't want their lives to seem like a workplace. Thats the last thing I want.

So I have finally given in to working weekends. All for the routine and stability. Its been two years of jumping between 13 different homes and 3 mon-fri day programs, filling in while people take their holidays or are off on leave or sick. I have learned so much about all the people we support.

I WILL MISS the variety, never being bored, seeing everybody on a regular basis, and of course being able to book whatever time off I wanted off!

I WILL NOT MISS having to carry my cell phone ALL THE TIME and constantly being called by work. Also, as a casual, I could never commit myself to things, like the slowpitch league, for example..cause I would then be at risk for not getting enough hours. Also it will be nice to have a routine again and plan things easier. Being comfortable again in a job will be nice. I also look forward to playing a bigger role in these people's lives.

WOW and I now have holidays and sick time accruing!!! yippee! woah and a pension woah am I in the big leagues now or what? hahaha honestly, being happy in my job matters more to be than all those extras..but it is kinda nice.

I have a big time craving for chocolate!!!! Smarties mmmmmmmmmm... all you girls would probably agree that once you have a choc. craving it continues the next day and does not go away until you have some! Damn you hormones! I have no chocolate in the house and thats a bad thing. I'm going to go read now.

Sat night was fun. I'm actually still recovering. Made some good eats on the BBQ and later on had a campfire in our yard. Everybody slept here cause we live in the boonies...well not really the boonies, BUT close enough.

Sarah and Chris set up thier giganchtuon(yaya bad spelling I know) tent. Andrea and Devin also camped out. Alison, Dave, Meliss, Aaliyah, Amy, Ry, myself slept indoors. oh and Ry's work friend Joe was here too but he is a fellow sookite so he went home.

Sahhh did you start your blog yet?? Sahh is thinking of starting a blog and I can't wait.

Celeste celebrated 'Kartie's' bday and then posted some photos which would have made Jerk feel super happy and would have hopefully helped cheer him up. Kayla is still mourning over Pluto being demoted. Phil is angry about me making him do the stoopid meme...(although it was kinda fun reading everybody's). ahhhh hmmmm... and Ern was enjoying Saaaah's yummy pina Colada's over here at our house. landlord dude was dealing with nutty tenants and Egan completed his first Ironman! Poor Geek's little one had a fever and Scott is still being amused by his reader's replies to his masturbation post. Grunt wants you to read his blog cause he has been working hard on his posts. Spacecake hates Sundays. Niolk became a misogynist. and Wendy..well I agree with her, he will get his ass kicked in New Orleans. Oh, and welcome somebody's little bro ( liquidmonk ) to blogland:) Raymi's her usual halariously entertaining self(and ignores my meme request). Oh! And posts a funny video of Bob Saget

Dear Mexico,

I miss you so very much. You have to admit, we've had some pretty great times together. I think it will be a while before we make it back to see you again. So for now, I will continue to dream about you and look through old photographs of when we were last together. Can you believe its already been a year and a half since we last met. Lately,/

i have been more restless than usual ..I was talking a while ago about not being as content as Id like, when Im alone for long periods of time....

trust me I DO very much value and NEED my alone time BUT The problem is more that I need to do things I enjoy more often when I am by myself.

I end up procrastinating on painting a picture or doing some other art project...Instead ill go write on my blog, read other people's blogs or talk on the phone. barrghhh I enjoy having this blog but I feel like it is sort of negative on me in a way..It pulls me away from things that I should really be doing...its so quick and easy to sit just down at the computer.

hmmmmm..I really shouldn't blame it on blogging cause blogging is a great and wonderful thing. But, it all about the balance..(haha im a big dork)

I just need to fit in painting more..and note to self: must book kayak trip for september...

SOOO my two goals for the next month are to:

1.) paint a BIG painting

2.) Go kayaking

Our little boy is sick

We are so sad. Our little boy was all of a sudden in A LOT of pain this afternoon. I had to call the on-call vet he was so bad. I brought him in and he had a high temperature. He was afraid to move and he was crying. I am so sad. I had to leave him at the vet overnight so they can monitor him. They will give him antibiotics and a special liquid thingy under his skin (instead of a drip - to hydrate him). We think he has some sort of infection in his bowel. There is always a possibility that he swallowed something like an elastic but we hope not. I hope he will be fine. The vet is going to call me later tonight to update me. This is the first time he has been away from his home overnight. The poor little guy. He must be so terrified. I can't stop thinking about him.

My ACTUAL Tuesday! .....don't worry no utube videos were used in this post

Wow! I can actually say, not only is it TUESDAY, but it is MY TUESDAY! Usually, it is Monday... or something and I'm celebrating my Friday. It all sounds way too confusing anyways..

tonight I ACTUALLY enjoyed my own company!...can you believe it? Well, Tessa was with me too. Anyway, we went down to our beach(30min.walk-not actually'our' beach) and I lied on a blanket. As the sun set, I lied( is it suppose to be layed?) there with Tessa ..but, she was mostly wondering off and eating dried up seaweed balls and urchins..she ended up eating so much of it that I had to put her on the leash ..then about 9 cool looking birds with white around their eyes and black beaks and necks appeared in the water infront of us..they were bobbing in and out of the water and splashing around and occaisionally chasing one another. Tessa started whining and wanted to chase them, but I didn't want them to fly away, so I didn't let her. We continued to watch them play and Tessa went completely mad.

When I do things like going to the beach or for walks when I am by myself...I tend to only last so long before I get bored of my own company. Tessa really helps, but it is still something I need to work on. Tonight I MADE myself stay down at the beach and I actually had a nice, relaxing time.

I think it is important that every person should be able to comfortably spend time alone with only their self. With just their own thoughts....like at a beach, fishing, hiking whatever whoever likes. Also I think everyperson is different and some need more of this time than others do. I need this time but its hard to do, at the same time. Hope that makes sense. Its not good to be bored of myself so quickly! Does anyone else have this issue?

I'm at home sick today

I'm at home today and I'm moping around in my PJs. I am admiring Ry and his work on the shed he is building. Since we've moved into our first home Ive have learned that he is so talented at carpentry and the designing part of it too. In the winter/spring he made beautiful bulit in movie shelves and entertainment system thing in our back 'functional' room. This room is seriouslly everything- a guest room(when you close the curtains and fold the bed out), a laundry room, a cat room, a tool room with a work bench and a computer room and tv room Wholy. We both spend a lot of time back here..and the sliding door to our patio and BBQ is back here so its perfect to hang out here.

They are super cute, good kids with LOTS of energy- especially Carsy.
They came over with the rest of Ry's family for my and Unk's Bdays.
Unk is in the photo with Carson there and Carsy is opening Uncle Don's present with him(or for him... shall I say).
