Split Seconds

Within [a split second] a universe of cause and effect occurs, altering lives, sometimes ending them. In a split second a sperm can penetrate an ovum, a bullet can rip through a wild bear’s head, a compassionate smile can alter another’s entire being, and someone can walk out a door and change the life of another forever. Split seconds are paramount, as nothing else so encapsulates the turning points of life.

Wow, that reminds me of the choas theory! I love discussing stuff like this, especially after a beer or two or three :]

cool! ya I love to have conversations about these kind of things to. Philosophy and such is fun. This is pretty cool:

"butterfly effect", suggesting that the flapping of a butterfly's wings over Tokyo might create tiny changes in the atmosphere, which could over time cause a tornado to occur over Texas. The flapping wing represents a small change in the initial condition of the system, which causes a chain of events leading to large-scale phenomena.

Nice, you got some wonderful comment spam times two. It is interesting how those little things can change. Yep, it is something I don't like to give too much thought to.

Love this kind of stuff. I know I come across as wacky, but I do reserve plenty for deep thoughts.

Hey Egan:) yah weird spam thats a first for me and times 2 don't I feel special

viva la Grunt glad u enjoyed. Read Matt's site if you are ever in the mood..your bound to find something of interest

HiGuggenflurgen -Even when a split second decison is not the right one u prob. learn from it and end up seeing other things that happen down the road in result. Also if something real shitty happens sometimes its hard to take but usually it leads you to something of importance or it shapes you into who you are and gives you traits that are valuable. This is how I feel anywhay. Everything happens for a reason right?

I find it kinda hard to talk about these things on here unless its a spur of the moment thought

True that dogga

Geek I've only ever taken one first year philosophy course I loved it. Thats cool you must've had some pretty fun discussions. BUT, can you remember much of them? thats my prob. the day after I can never remember our plans to conquer the universe

I've always been facinated by philosophy and tried to fill my electives with it. The problem is that I can be reading, then in a split second be on to "Oh look, something shiny."
